Wolman type water metes can be used for flow rates higher than Qn 15 m3/h. They are thereby distinguished by ensuring an especially low head loss, even with high flow rates
They newly developed measuring insert with a special construction of the turbine where the water flows through, guarantess a high measuring accuracy and long term stability of the measuring result. Large number rollers on the dry dial counter ensure the readability of numbers at all times.
Smilar to multi-jet meters, Wolman meters measure the velocity of the water flowing through with the help of a turbine. The volume is mechanically calculated, through the known volume of the measuring chamber, and indicted with the roller counters in cubic meters. The unique from of the “paddle wheels” enable the Wolman meters to cover a very large measuring range with especially low head loss. Aside from their construction for high flow rates, they also reliably start measuring with small water quantities.
Active or passive sensors are available for communication with pulse counting modules or automation and control systems. Inductive NAMUR optical and Reed sensors can be retrofitted without damaging the calibration seal. Active sensors have a pulse value, depending on the meter size, of either 1 or 10 L/lmp. Reed sensors have a pulse value of 100 L/lmp. Up to 10 m3/lmp, depending on the meter size.
This has been developed for very precise recording of amounts of water, above all in the starting range. Combined with a wide load range, this type of meter is used either for highly precise measurement of highly precise measurement of highly variable flow rates or as an alternative to the classic combination meters, with main and secondary meter.
In contrast to Wolman meters, the ETK-N/ETK-M does not require an inlet zone, since as a single-jet meter, it is insentive to swirling flows. Approved for horizontal installation position, this meter type is very flexible to use and can be an alternative in almost all areas of application of the classic combination meter.
Our new ETK-N-C is a meter suitable for high flow rates with measuring accuracy of class C.
Developed for the very exact measuring of water amounts, especially in the starting flow range, combined with a wide load range, this meter type will be used ether for the higly accurate measuring of strongly fluctuating flow rates amounts, or as an alternative to the classic. Compund meters with main and secondary meters.
The inflowing water is accelerated according to the venturi-principle at the inlet tangentially hits the turbine whell. Thereby extremely low starting values can attained with simultaneously high overload guarantee. In the starting flow range similar to a secondary meter of a WPV, it has sufficient reserve in tne upper floe range to be capable of accurately measuring very high flow rates.
